Basketball Recap: Iola Takes a Loss

Iola lost against Bremond back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Iola Bulldogs fell 65-56 to the Bremond Tigers. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bremond's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Braylon Estrada led the charge by going 5 of 11 en route to 12 points and six boards. Estrada is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Jeramiah Morgan was another key player, putting up 13 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.

Iola's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Bremond, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Iola will square off against Mumford at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bremond, they will face off against Holland at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Bremond is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.8 points per game this season.
