Volleyball Recap: Mancos Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Salida, Mancos was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Dove Creek Bulldogs by a score of 3-1. For the Bluejays, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 win the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Mancos got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 21-25, 31-29, 25-15.

Mancos' first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Dove Creek, their loss ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mancos will venture away from home to challenge West Grand at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Dove Creek, they are headed away from home for the first time to square off against Monticello at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.
