John Marshall fell victim to Parkersburg South and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Monarchs have suffered against the Patriots since April 18, 2019.

John Marshall's defeat dropped their record down to 11-14. As for Parkersburg South, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-11.

John Marshall does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Parkersburg South, they are taking a road trip to square off against Marietta at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Patriots surely won't give up without a fight.
