Basketball Recap: Walkersville Picks Up Second Consecutive Victory

Walkersville won the last time they faced Liberty, and Addison Boram did her part to make sure it happened again. Everything went Walkersville's way against Liberty on Tuesday as Walkersville made off with a 66-43 victory thanks in part to Boram, who went 8-for-13 en route to 21 points in addition to six assists and six steals. Walkersville is undefeated when Boram posts 20 or more points, but 8-9 otherwise.

The team also got some help courtesy of Liyana Goukoye, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Those 11 boards gave her a new career-high.

The win made it two in a row for Walkersville and bumps their season record up to 11-9. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points over those games. As for Liberty, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.

Coming up, Walkersville won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Clear Spring at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Liberty, they will take on Brunswick at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
