Football Recap: Ripley Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Ripley had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were dealt a 42-0 loss at the hands of the Peabody Golden Tide on Friday.

Jazarion Theus threw for 135 yards on 14 of 28 attempts. Johnathan Currie was his top target, picking up 38 receiving yards. On the ground, Deshonne Barnes rushed for 35 yards.

Ripley will face off against Crockett County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Peabody, they will challenge Humboldt at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
