Baseball Game Preview: Palmyra-Eagle Panthers vs. Parkview Vikings

Palmyra-Eagle has gone a perfect 10-0 against Parkview recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Panthers will challenge the Vikings at 5:00 p.m. Parkview took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Palmyra-Eagle, who comes in off a win.

On Friday, Palmyra-Eagle earned a 4-1 win over Deerfield. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Parkview's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell just short of Deerfield by a score of 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Vikings have suffered since April 12th.

Parkview saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mathias Treinen, who went 1-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Palmyra-Eagle pushed their record up to 14-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Parkview, their loss dropped their record down to 6-12.
