Softball Recap: Cameron Comes Up Short

After flying high against Hayward on Friday, Cameron came back down to earth. The Comets fell just short of the Hurricanes by a score of 13-12 on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (11), the Comets still had to take the loss.

Taya Jossart was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 5-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last four times she's played. Rayna Schroeder was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs.

Cameron's loss dropped their record down to 10-5-1. As for Hayward, they pushed their record up to 7-8 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Cameron will take on Unity at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hayward, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-1 win against Barron on the 4th.
