Basketball Game Preview: Beech Grove Hornets vs. Monrovia Bulldogs

Beech Grove and Monrovia are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2015, but not for long. The Beech Grove Hornets will welcome the Monrovia Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Beech Grove faced off against Morristown. in a bug-themed battle on Thursday. Beech Grove fell to Morristown 53-47.

Meanwhile, Monrovia hadn't done well against Edgewood recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Monrovia walked away with a 57-45 victory over Edgewood. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Monrovia is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for Beech Grove, they now have a losing record at 8-9.

Beech Grove was able to grind out a solid win over Monrovia when the teams last played back in January of 2024, winning 53-43. Will Beech Grove repeat their success, or does Monrovia have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
