Six must be Socorro's lucky number: they beat Hot Springs with that score not once but twice on Wednesday. The Warriors beat the Tigers by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 6-5. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Sebastian Mercado was incredible, scoring a run and stealing four bases while getting on base in four of his six plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Cullen Baxter, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI.

Socorro's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Hot Springs, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7-1.

Socorro will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Tigers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
