Basketball Recap: Monmouth Regional Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Monmouth Regional). They walked away with a 54-47 win over the Lakewood Piners on Wednesday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Falcons as it put an end to their six-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Monmouth Regional's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Lakewood, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Monmouth Regional is taking a road trip to square off against Asbury Park at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Lakewood has already played their next match (against Point Pleasant Beach), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
