Basketball Recap: Irving Triumphs

Irving won the last time they faced Nimitz and things went their way on Saturday too. The Irving Tigers slipped by the Nimitz Vikings 65-64.

Irving has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points per game. As for Nimitz, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Irving and Nimitz could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Irving (ranked 827th) will meet Pearce (ranked 80th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Nimitz (ranked 1092nd) will meet Richardson (ranked 60th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
