Basketball Game Preview: Pocahontas Indians vs. Sioux Central Rebels

The Pocahontas Indians will venture away from home to take on the Sioux Central Rebels at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Tuesday, Pocahontas escaped with a win against Ogden by the margin of a single free throw, 59-58.

Meanwhile, Sioux Central posted their biggest victory since January 30th on Tuesday. They blew past Storm Lake St. Mary 65-22. The Rebels' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Pocahontas' win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Sioux Central, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Pocahontas came up short against Sioux Central when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 58-54. Can Pocahontas avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
