Fleming dropped down to 9-4 on Tuesday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They were dealt a 55-22 loss at the hands of the Merino Rams. The Wildcats were red-hot offensively heading into the contest (they scored no less than 55 points in the three games prior), but the Rams' defense proved too tough.

Despite the loss, Fleming still got an impressive performance from Hayley Chamberlain, who posted three points and three steals.

As for Merino, their victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-1. They have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Merino's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kya Piel, who shot 56% from the field to rack up 15 points along with five assists and three steals. Piel has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Delaney Piel, who went 5-for-11 en route to 12 points and four steals.

Fleming wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 65-26 win against Weldon Valley on the 6th. As for Merino, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-17 victory against Sedgwick County on the 6th.
