Soccer Recap: Segerstrom Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Kennedy, Segerstrom was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Buena Park Coyotes 2-1. Given the Jaguars' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 388th, while the Coyotes are ranked 944th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Segerstrom's victory bumped their record up to 10-5-4. As for Buena Park, they dropped their record down to 3-15-1 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home.

Segerstrom has already played their next matchup (against Godinez Fundamental), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Buena Park will head out to challenge Kennedy at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kennedy will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Buena Park surely won't give up without a fight.
