Football Recap: Huge Rushing Attack Leads Bear River over Oakmont + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wheatland, Bear River was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They walked away with a 22-15 win over the Oakmont Vikings. The Bruins have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Vikings, too.

Sean Kinney had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 122 yards and three scores. Those 122 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Jaeden Waters helped out on the ground, rushing for 89 yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Bear River was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 249 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Oakmont's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Elijah Stevens, who threw for 224 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 18 passes, and Ocean Mu?oz, who picked up 103 receiving yards and one TD. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 70 yards.

Bear River has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. As for Oakmont, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Bear River didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 28-27 defeat against Lincoln on the 3rd. As for Oakmont, they have also already played their next matchup, a 27-26 victory against Center on the 3rd.
