Baseball Recap: Badger Victorious

Badger won the last time they faced Lordstown and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Braves walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Red Devils.

Alton Winchek was incredible, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs. Badger is 3-1 when Winchek posts two or more stolen bases, but 1-9 otherwise. Hunter Gilbert was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Badger's win bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Lordstown, they are on a 19-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Badger will face off against East at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lordstown, they will venture away from home to square off against Chalker at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
