Volleyball Game Preview: Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs vs. South Webster Jeeps

The Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs will face off against the South Webster Jeeps at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lynchburg-Clay is coming into the match hot, having won their last ten games.

Lynchburg-Clay barely beat Fairfield the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Mustangs were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Lions on Tuesday.

While Lynchburg-Clay won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-16, 25-22.

Meanwhile, South Webster got the win against Portsmouth West on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0.

South Webster found their leader in freshman Emma Campbell, who had five digs and three aces. Those three aces set a new season-high mark for Campbell.

South Webster was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. They are 11-2 when they serve at least ten aces.

Lynchburg-Clay's record now sits at 19-5. As for South Webster, their record is now 14-9.
