Springboro waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They beat the Beavercreek Beavers by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 5-4. That's the fourth time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 5-4 victory on Wednesday.

Jacob Rhinehart looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Jacob Cane was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two triples, three RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Micah Brandon, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Springboro's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 25-9. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Beavercreek, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 21-6.

Coming up, Springboro will challenge Mason at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Panthers 3.5, the Comets 3) so any runs scored will be well earned. Beavercreek does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
