Basketball Recap: East Prairie Takes a Loss

East Prairie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Senath-Hornersville Lions, falling 64-37. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 60-23 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

East Prairie's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Senath-Hornersville, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-2.

East Prairie will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Bloomfield at 4:30 p.m. on January 10, 2025. Senath-Hornersville will also get a bit of a break before their next match: they'll face off against South Pemiscot at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
