Volleyball Recap: Center Point Pirates vs. Sonora Broncos
Center Point was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Sonora Broncos. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Broncos this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.
The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-13, 25-13.
Cobee Beckerson paced Center Point's offense, picking up six kills. Beckerson got some help from Kaylani Ritter and her ten assists.
Madison Galindo went supernova For Sonora., getting 14 digs and four aces. That's the most digs Galindo has posted since back in August.
Center Point's defeat dropped their record down to 17-10. As for Sonora, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 20-17.
We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Center Point will challenge rival Harper at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Sonora is set to face off against their familiar foe Johnson City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
