Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Stockdale

Stockdale extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping their season record up to 20-8 in the process. They walked away with an 8-5 victory over the Liberty Patriots. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 5-3 victory on Wednesday.

Ethan Madriaga was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Saunders, who went 2-for-4 with three runs and one double.

As for Liberty, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 15 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-17 record this season. They just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

On Liberty's side, they got a good showing from Marshall Day, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Day has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Brodie Snow made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run. Brogan Witcher was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

As of now, neither Stockdale nor Liberty have any future games scheduled.
