Basketball Recap: Dawson-Bryant Continues Road Dominance on Monday

Dawson-Bryant won the last time they faced Rock Hill and things went their way on Monday too. The Dawson-Bryant Hornets came out on top against the Rock Hill Redmen by a score of 42-34. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hornets.

Several Redmen players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jlynn Risner, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 boards. Risner is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: she's pulled down at least 11 every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Myles Bailey, who posted nine points and three steals.

Dawson-Bryant pushed their record up to 10-10 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.3 points over those games. As for Rock Hill, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

Dawson-Bryant wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 62-29 defeat against Ironton on the 6th. As for Rock Hill, they have also already played their next matchup, a 47-44 win against South Point on the 6th.
