Softball Game Preview: Bridges Prep Buccaneers vs. Whale Branch Warriors

Bridges Prep is a perfect 5-0 against Whale Branch since March of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Bridges Prep Buccaneers will head out to square off against the Whale Branch Warriors at 6:00 p.m.

Last Tuesday, Bridges Prep made easy work of Whale Branch and carried off a 25-10 victory. The Buccaneers haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Amelia Howell was a standout: she scored three runs and stole Six bases. while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in stolen bases. Mallorie Brown was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing Four bases. while going 2-for-3.

Bridges Prep always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .882. Their OBP was a full 0 higher than the also-impressive .667 that Whale Branch posted.

Whale Branch now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Bridges Prep, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Everything went Bridges Prep's way against Whale Branch in their previous meeting on Tuesday, as Bridges Prep made off with a 25-10 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bridges Prep since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
