Volleyball Recap: Buckeye Takes a Loss

Buckeye's tournament run continued when they took on Northwest Christian on Friday. Buckeye fell just short of Northwest Christian by a score of 2-1.

Carson Skinner paced Buckeye's offense, picking up 11 kills. Skinner got some help from Marc Vera and his 22 assists. Vera was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

Buckeye's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Northwest Christian, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-4.

Buckeye wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Mesquite on the 28th. As for Northwest Christian, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Tucson High Magnet School on the 28th.
