Baseball Game Preview: Riley County Falcons vs. Royal Valley Panthers

The Riley County Falcons will head out on the road to face off against the Royal Valley Panthers on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Riley County and 13 for Royal Valley dating back to last season.

Riley County came up short against St. Marys on Monday, falling 13-5.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Royal Valley duked it out with Jefferson West on Monday. The Panthers lost 17-5 to the Tigers.

Riley County's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Royal Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-10.

Riley County took their victory against Royal Valley in their previous matchup back in May of 2018 by a conclusive 17-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
