Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Rattan

Rattan never let their opponents score on Thursday. They walked away with a 5-0 win over the Caddo Bruins. The victory was familiar territory for the Rams, who have now won three games in a row.

Kooper Johnson was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Mark Janoe, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Shade Cody, who went 1-for-4 with one home run.

Rattan lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Rattan's win bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Caddo, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-6 record this season.
