Derek Keeley Delivers Electric Effort Vs Granite Bay

Starting off the list is Rocklin's Derek Keeley, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Keeley rushed for 142 yards and a touchdown. Those 142 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Keeley is probably looking forward to his next game, a road matchup against Del Oro on Friday. Back in November of 2023 (the last time Keeley saw the Golden Eagles), he rushed for 115 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries.

Big Game from Lyons As Folsom Won 69-7

Ryder Lyons was instrumental in extending Folsom's winning streak to six on Friday. Lyons was unstoppable, throwing for 171 yards and five touchdowns. He has been hot recently, having posted five or more passing touchdowns the last three times he's played.

Whitney had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Lyons it was a similar story. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Lyons saw the Wildcats), he threw for 267 yards and five touchdowns, and also rushed for 40 yards.

Darnell Turner Jr. Turns in Season-Best Performance

Sadly, Darnell Turner Jr. posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Granite Bay over Rocklin on Friday. Turner Jr. picked up 91 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 57 yards and a touchdown.

Granite Bay's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-2. Turner Jr. and Granite Bay will square off against Davis Sr. at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
