Basketball Recap: Dietrich's Run of 11 Straight Victories Now Over

After a string of 11 wins, Dietrich's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They lost 63-43 to the Rockland Bulldogs. The matchup marked the Blue Devils' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Several Blue Devils players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brody Torgerson, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Perkins, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds.

Dietrich's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-2. As for Rockland, their victory was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-1.

Dietrich wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 79-34 win against Richfield on the 22nd. As for Rockland, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 69-47 loss against Watersprings on the 21st.
