Baseball Recap: Virginia High Beats Marion for Their Third Straight Win

Virginia High extended their winning streak to three on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 8-4 in the process. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Marion Scarlet Hurricanes a 9-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Bearcats, who have now won five games by six runs or more so far this season.

As for Marion, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-11-1. The match marked the first time this year in which they were not able to get on the board.

For Marion's part, they saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Corbin Bade, who went 1-for-2 with one double. That double marked the first that Bade has hit this season.
