Soccer Recap: University Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

University kept a clean sheet against Triton Central on Monday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Tigers. Given University's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana soccer rankings (they are ranked 79th, while Triton Central are ranked 261st) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Simon Ngo and Bruno Lukin scored both of University's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 22 goals.

The victory made it two in a row for University and bumps their season record up to 8-5-2. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two matches. As for Triton Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11-1 record this season.

University has already played their next contest, a 5-3 victory against Indianapolis Shortridge on the 30th. As for Triton Central, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 6-3 loss against Greensburg on the 8th.
