Bishop Blanchet and Garfield are an even 3-3 against one another since October of 2018, but not for long. The Bears will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Bishop Blanchet and nine for Garfield dating back to last season.

On Friday, Bishop Blanchet was beaten by Rainier Beach 50-10.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Garfield's offense. They took a blow against O'Dea on Friday, falling 44-0. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 148th, while the Fighting Irish are ranked third).

Garfield's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Bishop Blanchet, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Everything went Bishop Blanchet's way against Garfield when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as Bishop Blanchet made off with a 24-0 victory. Will the Bears repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
