Softball Recap: Sultan Takes a Loss

Sultan extended their losing streak to six on Friday, dropping their season record down to 5-8 in the process. They lost 11-0 to the Cedarcrest Red Wolves. The Turks were not able to make up for their loss to the Red Wolves from their previous meeting back in May of 2018.

As for Cedarcrest, their record is now 8-11-1. Considering they have won seven matches by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

For Cedarcrest's part, Abby Combs was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI Combs has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Celeste Lyons, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sultan will welcome Meridian at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Cedarcrest, they will host Lynden at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
