Preview: Aquinas Academy Crusaders vs. St. Joseph Spartans
The Aquinas Academy Crusaders will head out on the road to square off against the St. Joseph Spartans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Last Friday, Aquinas Academy took a serious blow against Imani Christian Academy, falling 80-48. Aquinas Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for St. Joseph, their loss was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-15.
Aquinas Academy strolled past St. Joseph in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 63-45. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was St. Joseph's Gabe Maltese, who scored 18 points along with two steals.
