Softball Game Preview: Chaparral Pumas vs. Temecula Valley Golden Bears

For the second straight game, Chaparral will face off against Temecula Valley. The Pumas will be playing at home against the Golden Bears at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.

Chaparral played in-conference for the first time on Friday and got just the result they were looking for. They came out on top against Temecula Valley by a score of 9-5. The win continues a trend for the Pumas in their matchups with the Golden Bears: they've now won seven in a row.

J Wear spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on ten hits. Those hits were her first of the season.

At the plate, Keira Beierly was incredible, firing off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Emily Daprato, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base.

Beierly wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Chaparral lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Temecula Valley didn't launched any home runs.

Temecula Valley's defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Chaparral, their victory bumped their record up to 2-13.
