Jenison faced Lowell in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Wildcats won by a set and slipped past the Red Arrows 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Wildcats have posted against the Red Arrows since September 11, 2015.

Karis Chatfield paced Jenison's offense, picking up 11 kills. Chatfield got some help from Cora Rotman and her 20 assists. Payton Buchanan controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Jenison's victory bumped their record up to 31-5-2. As for Lowell, their loss dropped their record down to 29-8-3.

Jenison wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Mercy on the 25th. As for Lowell, they will venture away from home to challenge Mt. Pleasant at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
