Columbus North posted their closest victory since September 28, 2024 on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Greensburg Pirates. The victory was nothing new for the Bull Dogs as they're now sitting on three straight.
Karen Dutro paced Columbus North's offense, picking up ten kills. Dutro got some help from Lexi Denny and her 26 assists. Finally, Dutro was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high five blocks.
Columbus North's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Greensburg, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.
Coincidentally, Columbus North and Greensburg will both be playing Crawfordsville the next time they take the court. The Pirates will host the Athenians at 10:15 a.m. on Saturday, while the Bull Dogs will play them later in the day, at 11:30 a.m.
