Recap: Garrison Bulldogs vs. Grapeland Sandies
The Garrison Bulldogs put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 58-0 win over Grapeland. Fans of Garrison have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
Garrison's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Omarion Rasberry, who rushed for 125 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries. Rasberry was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 54 yards. Javien Black also helped out as he racked up 103 rushing yards.
Garrison's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 8-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.5 points per game. As for Grapeland, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
Coincidentally, Garrison and Grapeland will both be playing San Augustine the next time they take the field. Garrison will host San Augustine at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Grapeland will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd.
