Football Recap: Essex Tech Takes a Loss

Essex Tech played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the North Reading Hornets and fell 35-6. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no points scored by either team from that point forward.

Essex Tech now has a losing record of 2-3. As for North Reading, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Essex Tech will face off against rival Pentucket Regional at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, North Reading is set to take on their familiar foe Amesbury at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Hornets 9.6, the Redhawks 12.2) so any points scored will be well earned.
