While North Rowan might've come up empty on Friday, Zion Gillespie wasn't going down without a fight. Gillespie scored two runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-4, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He is becoming a predictor of North Rowan's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 1-4 when he doesn't).

Looking ahead, Gillespie and North Rowan will be playing at home against East Davidson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Rowan has some work to do to even out the 2-8 series between these two since April of 2016, but a win here would be a good start.
