If Veritas Christian Academy wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played The Pilgrim Academy, they should've done a better job of containing Mason Parmer. The Pioneers were the clear victors by a 65-42 margin over the Lions on Saturday with plenty of help from Parmer, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 15 boards. His big performance that evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points.

Kai Conley was another key player, putting up 11 points and four steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dallas Tanis, who posted 17 points. Another player making a difference was Timothy Hawkswell, who earned nine points and seven rebounds.

The win (which was The Pilgrim Academy's third in a row) raised their record to 8-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.7 points over those games. As for Veritas Christian Academy, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-7.

The Pilgrim Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 74-49 loss against Atlantic Christian on the 13th. As for Veritas Christian Academy, they have also already played their next contest, a 65-49 win against Varsity Opponent on the 13th.
