Soccer Recap: Centennial Gets Big Win over Higher-Ranked Sonora

Centennial kept a clean sheet against Sonora on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Raiders by a score of 2-0. The win was all the more spectacular given Centennial's disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 204th, while Sonora are ranked 67th).

Centennial has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3-2 record this season. As for Sonora, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-4.

Coming up, Centennial will challenge Valley View at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday. As for Sonora, they will square off against El Modena at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. The match will give Sonora their first taste of in-conference action this season.
