Basketball Game Preview: Orangeburg-Wilkinson Bruins vs. North Eagles

The Orangeburg-Wilkinson Bruins and the North Eagles will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Orangeburg-Wilkinson comes in on three and North on four.

Orangeburg-Wilkinson picked up another tournament win on Friday. They ended the year with a bang, routing Silver Bluff 55-34. The Bruins have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 21 points or more this season.

Jordan McGahee had a dynamite game for Orangeburg-Wilkinson, going 7 for 10 on his way to 15 points in addition to six rebounds and five blocks. Those five blocks gave McGahee a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of James Ross, who posted six points.

Orangeburg-Wilkinson smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, North got the win against Ridgeland on Friday by a conclusive 79-54. The game marked the Eagles' most dominant win of the season so far.

Orangeburg-Wilkinson better keep an eye on Stetson Stacks. He was instrumental in North's win, going 9 of 15 on his way to 22 points and seven steals. The contest was Stacks' sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaleil Way, who went 8 of 17 on his way to 17 points and three steals.

North's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-4. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 80.5 points per game. As for Orangeburg-Wilkinson, their win bumped their record up to 9-2.
