With a playoff win on the line, Legacy rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 65-40 margin over the Canyon Springs Pioneers. The Longhorns have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 19 games by 22 points or more this season.

Legacy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Trista Mabry, who dropped a triple-double with ten points, 12 rebounds, and 13 blocks. That's the most blocks Mabry has posted since back in December of 2024. Alabama Nieves was another key player, going 9 of 13 on her way to 22 points.

Legacy was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Canyon Springs only racked up seven assists.

When it comes to explaining why Canyon Springs lost, don't look at Alexis Holliday. Despite the final result, she scored nine points. Holliday continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ariyanah Custard, who put up 15 points.

Legacy pushed their record up to 23-7 with the win, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.8 points over those games. As for Canyon Springs, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-11.

Coming up, Legacy will challenge Basic at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Legacy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matches. Canyon Springs does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
