Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Baltic). They put the hurt on the Sisseton Redmen with a sharp 18-4 victory on Tuesday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Bulldogs with their most commanding win of the season.
Ashlyn Klein made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Klein was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI.
In other batting news, Amelia Sinding and Finley Kortemeyer did most of the damage at the plate: Sinding went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs, while Kortemeyer got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, three stolen bases, and three runs. Another player making a difference was Kalyce Nohava, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.
