Midland Legacy is on a three-game streak of home losses, Midland a five-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Midland Legacy Rebels will take on the Midland Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Midland Legacy pushed their score all the way to 58 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. Their rough 81-58 defeat to Frenship might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Midland Legacy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 465th, while Frenship is ranked 23rd).
Midland Legacy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Diego Rodriguez, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds, and Max Vera who scored ten points along with seven assists.
Meanwhile, Midland was beaten by Permian 61-34 on Tuesday. Midland has struggled against Permian recently, as their match on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Midland Legacy's defeat dropped their record down to 13-16. As for Midland, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-18 record this season.
