Cashton had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Hillsboro Tigers, sneaking past 7-5. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Tigers back in April, they had to take a 7-6 loss.

Cashton pushed their record up to 12-6-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Hillsboro, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-6.

Looking ahead, Cashton will head out on the road to challenge Necedah at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hillsboro, they will host Boscobel at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
