Football Game Preview: Abington Heights Comets vs. Delaware Valley Warriors + How To Watch

Abington Heights hasn't had much luck against Delaware Valley recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Comets will be playing at home against the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Abington Heights is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.

Abington Heights is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed past Wyoming Valley West to the tune of 53-7 on Friday. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 30-0.

Jayden Anglin had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 189 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 13 carries. He didn't just play on offense: he also made three total tackles and defended one pass. Gavin Anders was another key player, picking up 125 receiving yards and two scores.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Abington Heights was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 354 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.

Abington Heights' defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB six times. Leading the way was Cooper Manning with two sacks.

Meanwhile, in a tight contest that could have gone either way, Delaware Valley made off with a 7-6 victory over Pittston. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Abington Heights' record is now 9-2. As for Delaware Valley, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Friday's game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Anglin and Michael Iuzzolino. Anglin just won't slow down this season and has run in 12 touchdowns while averaging 112.3 rushing yards per game. Iuzzolino has been a dominant force too and has run in 16 touchdowns while averaging 113.2 rushing yards per game.
