Basketball Recap: East Knox's Win Ends Three-Game Losing Streak on the Road

East Knox won the last time they faced Lucas and things went their way on Monday too. The East Knox Bulldogs came out on top against the Lucas Cubs by a score of 55-48. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Despite the loss, Lucas still got an impressive performance from Riley Trumpower, who went 9 for 14 en route to 22 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals. The dominant performance gave Trumpower a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Katie Griffey, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine boards.

East Knox's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-8. As for Lucas, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-8.

East Knox will take on Danville at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. East Knox is facing Danville at the right time seeing as Danville is stuck on a 17-game losing streak. As for Lucas, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against South Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lucas will also cruise into their next contest with the timing on their side: South Central will have lost 12 straight heading into Tuesday's game.
