Basketball Recap: Waterford Takes a Loss

Waterford lost against Belpre back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Waterford Wildcats fell just short of the Belpre Golden Eagles by a score of 52-50. That's two games in a row now that the Wildcats have lost by exactly two points.

Waterford dropped their record down to 3-7 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Belpre, they moved to 5-6 with that win, which also ended their six-game losing streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Waterford won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Frontier at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Belpre has already played their next matchup (against Southern), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
