Recap: Denver South Ravens vs. Denver North Vikings
The Denver South Ravens had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They breezed by Denver North on the road to the tune of 68-31. That's another feather in the cap for Denver South, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Leading Denver South to victory were Nevaeh Millard and Ka'Niya (KJ) Anderson. Millard scored 19 points along with 6 steals and 5 rebounds, while Anderson scored 20 points along with 9 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Dominique Valdez, who scored 6 points along with 3 steals.
Even though they lost, Denver North were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Denver South only pulled down ten.
Denver South's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Denver North, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Denver South will be playing in front of their home fans against Evergreen at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Denver North, they will take on Battle Mountain at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
